Select a restore point. Recommended restore contains the latest restore point. You can tick it and start the pending operation. And most of USB storage device not showing up issue can be solved. The hardware and device troubleshooter just says "Hardware changes might not have been detected. I have not been able to try the device on another PC, but this is the second model of flash drive I have tried to use, neither of which is detected in any way whatsoever by Windows. Go to My Computer and right-click on the flash drive.
Once finished, it will tell you what the flash drive's problem is. Click Start. Open the Run command and type in msc in the field. Click OK. This will open the Device Manager. Find the Universal Serial Bus controllers. Go to Control Panel , then System and security. Under the Windows Update section, click on Check for Updates.
If it is not updated the notification is not green in color , update it accordingly as indicated by the system. Follow the updating wizard and restart your computer accordingly.
